How does Dr Umar carry out an endoscopy?
Dr Umar, an experienced endoscopist, sedates the patient and places a flexible telescope (endoscope) down the patient's throat into the duodenum. Beforehand, he pumps air into the cavity to see extensively inside the area.

How does Dr Umar perform a colonoscopy?
A colonoscopy is a surgical procedure that allows Dr Umar to examine the large intestine extensively. As a result, Dr Umar inserts a bendable instrument (colonoscope) through the rectum and guides it through the colon. A colonoscopy is designed to suction liquid-like stool, irrigate the colon lining like a water jet, pump air into the bowel to view the site extensively and work within the bowel using tiny surgical equipment.
During a colonoscopy, Dr Umar will remove abnormal growths, such as polyps, and transfer these samples for further analysis. He may also treat any other issues that he finds.
